I have committed the PCRE1 patch that changes \c in EBCDIC. Please test
and let me know if it is OK. I have also (I hope) fixed the behaviour of
\a and \e in pcretest, and \a in pcre_compile(). These fixes are also in
the PCRE2 head so they will be in the next release. I intend to put out
a new PCRE2 release fairly soon. There should be a release candidate in
the next week or so, and then the actual release will happen after a
couple of weeks.
