There's a problem here with back-compatibity to builders who specify for
COMPRESS_SUFFIX and ZCAT_COMMAND something other than the list
(gz, bz2, xz, lzma) that Todd added for autodetect in exigrep.
Possibly, check for nonempty values in exigrep and make the defaults in EDITME
empty, with appropriate commentary? Also the main docs need touching up on
this
support.
