Not for a long time myself, but a while ago I wrote exitop, which
does a similar (but different) thing - it tails the logfiles and
maintains a text screen showing you what the heavy hitters are. A
bit like top(1) but for mail.

Thought I'd mention it in case it's useful. I have it running
continuously and it's proven stable here.

On the downside it doesn't show you anything to do with the mail
queues. On the upside, you can run it on your syslog server and
watch all your mail servers at the same time :)

We plot graphs of mail in/out and queue sizes with cacti (and to a
lesser extent, munin).
