I already had it on my list as one of the next issues to tackle, but
thanks for taking the time to work on it. I'll certainly look at your
patches when I get to this - hopefully in the next week or so, and
certainly before the next PCRE release.

Er, now that I look at it, I see that I have not compiled it since March
2010. I guess it has decayed over time. I will take a look as part of
the upgrade, and I'll also look at the README file.
