File that causes infinite loop

I used the following pattern:

&"(.|\n)+?instead\\n"\n

My call to pcre_exec() generates an endless number of recursive calls to
match(), until the stack overflows. The call is:

pcre_exec(<regex>, NULL, <str>, 20036, 0, 0, <pmatch>, 6);
