"For those who are old enough to remember: about 15 years ago Apple introduced voice commands for MacOS and it was great fun to shout behind someone's back "shutdown" to see the Mac happily go into its shutdown routine. This was patched a while back on MacOS, as you can probably imagine, but it was a great prank."

Folsk,

And:

"Microsoft said the exploit was "technically possible" but there was no need to
worry.

The firm has pointed out that in order for the flaw to be exploited the speech
recognition feature would need to be activated and configured and both
microphone and speakers would have to be switched on."

No shit? And this would be some sort of rare circumstance?
I mean - how else would one use it at all?

Bit like saying the Winbox is immune to exploit so long as the power is not
switched on. At least one hopes so...

But I *do* look forward to a Win-Crobe that listens for a passerby - or website
- to say:

'Go Fuck Yourself!'

..then does so!

Ah - the pace of technology!

;-)
