Yup.

A ratio of better than a million to one criminally generated to
innocently generated traffic.

IOW - we use 'em 'coz they *work*. 'Why' is less important.

Never met a bird with a degree in aeronautical engineering,
let alone child psychology.

But most of 'em fly pretty well anyway.
