[exim] SMTP AUTH problems

I am trying to get my SMTP server to Advertise AUTH plain or TLS so users
can read and send email with there mail-clients.

But whatever I try I only get this:

220 tuxmad ESMTP Exim 4.60 Thu, 02 Nov 2006 18:18:05 +0100
ehlo localhost
250-tuxmad Hello tuxmad [192.168.100.1]
250-SIZE 52428800
250-PIPELINING
250 HELP

How can I get my server to advert AUTH and STARTTLS ?
Now I cant relay emails.

I use conf.d/. Just what do I have to enable and where to put it?

(I can just tell that I have ported from Win2k3 it Ubuntu lunux) so I am
no expert in linux)
