How do you mean that?
If you want to know which binary is running as daemon, just take a
look at the scripts that are responsible for starting and stopping the
daemon.

It defines how many bits of the IP address belong to the subnet
definition.
But maybe you'll take a closer look at all the network stuff...?

Yes, you must restart your exim daemon - if you run exim as daemon.
But as _you_ are the admin of your system, _you_ should know about
it...
