I tuned our exim (4.2x) to be very picky about syntactical/logical
"wrong" HELO greetings. On the other hand I'd like to let the
authenticated users in (they're road warriors that often change ISPs so
they can use our server even as a relay). These road warriors' MUAs
often send broken HELO/EHLO stuff with the effect that they're slapped
before they can produce their driver's license, so to say.
And of course if the HELO/EHLO fails then no authentication is possible.
Is it possible to remember the HELO condition and only trigger the
failure (if any) at RCPT time?
