You are right. I am unclear. I meant restricting *incoming* mails to a
single RCPT using recipients_max. According to the manual, the RFCs
specify that the server should accept atleast 100.

Unless my machine is setup as a relay, I dont see much multiple-rcpt
mails. Again, this assumption of mien might change over time.

Right. I am not using recipients_max_reject for that reason.

I know this is a stupid idea. I just wanted a way out for my present
problems in making my machine suitable for handling multidrop mailboxes
along with spamassassin.

Right now, I think exim is incapable of correctly handling multidrop
mailboxes along with spamassassin. To be fair, the problem is not with
exim but rather with the architecture around which spamassassin is being
used.
