you can build saslauthd support into exim on freebsd using the make
argument 'WITH_SASLAUTHD' in /usr/ports/mail/exim. saslauthd is in
/usr/ports/security/cyrus-sasl2-saslauthd/. I included my
authenticators in the above mentioned thread fwiw.
