Greetings,
I have Exim 3.36 installed on a webserver. It listens on port 2525 and
only ever receives mail from local CGI processes. It has one router
configured and forwards *all* incoming mail (from CGIs) to a smarthost.
The idea is that the CGIs can reliably and quickly get rid of mail to
the exim MTA and then exim can leisurely forward the mails to the
smarthost mail gateway.
My question is; if a mail contains a BCC list with N addresses, will
exim process the list thus firing off N messages to the gateway? As far
as I can figure out from the specs, it seems it will (even *must*) do
so. Is this correct?
If so, is it possible to force exim to pass on the message with the BCC
list intact, thus letting the gateway do the fan-out?
Rgds,
Owen Boyle
