I've been doing some work on the LDAP code in Exim to sort out some
problems, particularly error handling. The new code is known to work
with OPENLDAP1 and OPENLDAP2, but I haven't been able to test it with
any other LDAP libraries. If anybody is using Exim with a different LDAP
library, I'd be grateful if you can test a snapshot of the current
development source tree.
If anybody else wants to play with this just to what I've been doing,
feel free. This version passes all my tests, so it should be usable.

It will unpack into a directory called exim-snapshot, but compile a
version that identifies itself as 4.10.8. The changes are listed in
doc/ChangeLog and new things are documented in doc/NewStuff, under the
"4.11" heading.
