Sounds like some mismatch somewhere. Like you aren't calling the version
of Exim that you are compiling. Or you are putting "driver = lmtp" in
the wrong place in the configuration; lmtp is a transport and should be
in the transports section. If you quote the entire error message, we may
be able to help you better.
