[Exim] SMTP AUTH and PAM

    Hi all,

    I tried to setup exim server SMTP AUTH in a exim 3.12 server.
    I got the following errors in syslog:

2001-10-15 18:34:15 Authentication failed for (user)
[200.165.229.162]: 435 Unable to authenticate at present: unknown
condition "pam"

    My exim.conf has:

plain:
driver = plaintext
public_name = PLAIN
server_set_id = $2
server_condition = ${if pam{$2:$3}{1}{0}}

login:
driver = plaintext
public_name = LOGIN
server_prompts = "Username:: : Password::"
server_condition = ${if pam{$1:$2}{1}{0}}
server_set_id = $1

    In /etc/pam.d/exim I have

auth       required   pam_unix.so nullok
account    required   pam_unix.so
session    required   pam_unix.so

    What can be wrong?
