What about a broken firewall at her end doing something weird - like dropping
ident packets on the floor for example? Or causing long timeouts trying to
handoff the mail for some reason?
When I see the word "firewall" in something I'm trying to connecting to,
ident is the first thing I suspect. Connectivity problems their side is
another major point of failure.
