Subject: [Exim] Frozen due to dns-lookup problem
Dear folks,

just noticed that a message got frozen within the following router:

customer_route:
driver = domainlist
transport = remote_smtp
route_file = /usr/local/exim/customer.route
search_type = partial-lsearch

We see that there are currently problems with the customer's mailserver
(retry time not reached ...)
and then a dns-lookup problem (lookup of host .... failed in ...) due to
some nameserver-
maintenance here.

But why got the message frozen when there is some dns-problem? The dns for
this exim-box was
definitely down so there was NO authoritative answer telling exim that
there is no
host mail.test.de.
