Yes.

You will never get one with his patch in it.

His patch was to disable IPv6 support; obviously (since it isn't enabled in
the upstream configuration) this was something I had enabled deliberately,
so I'm not going to take it out now!

I think I've fixed it so it will work on systems without kernel support for
IPv6; I've just uploaded a package (3.02-3) you might like to try.
