Hello,
I am preparing to switchover from Smail to Exim, and came across an
error message I don't understand.
My alias file for the iafrica.sz domain often contains lines like:
AUser: holiday@??? # Until Oct 6.
#AUser: /var/mail/AUser
(Which intends to say that normally mail for AUser is delivered into
the mailbox file, but temporarily gets forwarded to some remote
address).
When I do "exim -bt AUser@???", I get the error:
AUser@??? cannot be resolved at this time:
<AUser@???> - error in alias file: extraneous characters at
end of address in "holiday@??? # Until oct 6."
In my understanding everything from the first # up to the end of the line
should be ignored. Why not here?
